The college’s atmospheric and versatile in-house theatre
is principally used by the Performing Arts students for performances
and rehearsals.
The theatre is also used by a wide variety of students across
Fareham College who choose to take part in drama and music classes
in their spare time as part of their enrichment programme.
The Bishopsfield Theatre is now a ‘theatre in the round’ where
the audience can sit on all sides of the performers, adding a
dynamic and contemporary edge to the college’s productions.
Recent investment has resulted in the introduction of tiered
seating and elegant period costumes for the students to perform
in.
Members of the public are encouraged to come along to the Bishopsfield
Theatre and be entertained by the college’s talented actors,
dancers and musicians during one of the many productions that
are staged there throughout the year.
Recent shows have included a rock concert in aid of the Asian
tsunami disaster appeal (read more) and the plays Ubu The King
and The Best Little Chicken Ranch in Town (read more).
The theatre is also an ideal venue for the college’s awards
evenings and presentation events. Look at Fareham College’s other
