Our Health Care & Early Years Department caters for a variety of learners and their level of expertise. The Department offers a number of courses available at levels 1-5 as well as a number of part time courses such as Foundation Degree, Apprenticeship courses and Supporting Teaching and Learning courses.

Not all people are gifted with an instinct to care for others. Those who have it are extremely special and are always in high demand. Studying Health Care & Early Years will lead you to a rewarding career and will give you access to the most advanced equipment and techniques in the care industry.
Courses will prepare Student for a terrific career in the industry. Graduates go on to perform a number of industry-related areas including: Nurseries, Pre-schools, Crèches, Nursing Homes, Midwifery, Social Work, Occupational Health, Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy and much more.
Some courses may require you to have work placements which can range from a minimum of 60-200 hours. Please see the individual courses for more information. For our Level 2 course (or above) you will be required to take a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check prior to commencing your work placement. There is no charge for this service. A uniform (fleece and polo shirt) will need to be purchased. Full details will be provided in your interview.
