Science impacts on all aspects of everyday life and is essential to on-going research and development across the world.
Our Applied Science courses combine a firm grounding in Biology, Physics and Chemistry as well as exploring the principals of Forensics through studying topics such as Crime Scene Investigation, DNA profiling and Criminology. Whilst many of the activities undertaken are lab-based, students also get the opportunity to visit working research labs and to observe the criminal justice system in action through visits to local magistrates’ courts.
Your Future is Bright
If you choose to go straight into employment after the course the Extended Diploma provides a range of skills which could enable you to work as a technician in research laboratories, for example in pharmaceutical or healthcare settings.
If you choose to progress to university after the course there are a great many degree pathways you could choose.
Courses will prepare Student for a terrific career in the industry. Graduates go on to perform a number of industry-related roles including: Scientific, Industrial, Forensic Technicians, Medical Illustrator, Cyber Crime Investigator, Gemmologist or Psychiatric Nurse, Police.
