Fareham College

The College’s main site is located to the west of Fareham town centre and its pleasant and landscaped campus is within strolling distance of Fareham’s shopping centre, the train station and bus station.

The William Price Building of Fareham College is an impressive and modern open-plan mall. Naturally lit by skylights, and with a vibrant restaurant, the mall has a bright and buzzing atmosphere and is an ideal place to meet and mingle with friends before classes. £16 million has recently been invested in new technology and facilities at Fareham College, providing students with access to innovative classrooms, workshops, laboratories, studios and training suites. These developments ensure that Fareham offers the very best educational experience and a contemporary environment in which to excel.

There is clear signposting throughout the campus, so the college is straightforward to get around and all classrooms easy to find. But if you do get lost, there is always a friendly member of staff nearby to point you in the right direction. Recent investment has also significantly improved access for students with disabilities.

CEMAST

All Engineering and Manufacturing courses run by Fareham College take place at our new Centre of Excellence in Engineering, Manufacturing and Advanced Skills Training (CEMAST).

The site is the central training facility for over 1,100 full time and part time students, and many leading businesses also send their staff to train there to take advantage of the exceptional, and industry-leading, facilities and equipment.

CEMAST’s focus is to provide all of the knowledge needed to effectively prepare for work and higher study in engineering-related roles. Training at CEMAST is an opportunity for students to develop their experience and understanding of technical subjects in an industry-standard environment.

With an investment of over £12 million, the purpose-built facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and resources, including workshops for automotive, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering and marine engineering, and resources including a decommissioned Provost Jet, Wasp helicopter, dynamometer testing facility, 3D printers and digitizers.

You will be able to choose from a range of drinks such as coffee, frappes and shakes as well as hot meals, cooked breakfasts and lunches, with options including sandwiches, wraps, paninis and jacket potatoes – always with a vegetarian option.
