Fareham College is situated on the south coast of England, close to both the sea-side town of Portsmouth and the largest city in Hampshire, Southampton.

With one of the best climates in Britain, this is a great area in which to live, study, work and visit. Fareham itself is a market town with a rich heritage of maritime history, peaceful woodland walks, conservation areas plus an attractive, safe coast line. With a history that dates back to the Norman era, Fareham now enjoys a contemporary, modern-day culture that holds a variety of interests for everyone.

Fareham offers a safe and friendly community in which to live; it has an extensive shopping centre, cinema, leisure centre and array of restaurants and cafes all in close proximity. The larger cities of Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester and Chichester are all within easy reach by rail or road.

The New Forest National Park, which is over 900 years old and offers acres of unspoilt wood and heathland, is a short train ride away, as is the cosmopolitan seaside town of Bournemouth, which has seven miles of golden beaches. The beautiful holiday resort of the Isle of Wight is a short ferry ride across The Solent, and with London and Oxford just a 90 minute train journey, Fareham really is a fantastic base from which to explore this beautiful and exciting part of the UK.
