Important information

We offer a varied range of NVQ and non NVQ qualifications at different levels to suit all learners and enable skills set building and enhancement of personal portfolios. For all qualifications you are required to sit specific written assessments that are set by the Awarding Organisation.  Dates will be made known to you at the start of the course. All our qualifications have specific entry requirements so please, if you are unsure contact us via the Advice and Guidance Team on 01329 815 200.

When you have stated an interest in a part time Hairdressing Course you will be sent a request to attend an information & interview session, where we will give you specific course information and requirements and carry out a formal interview. We would advise you not to purchase uniform or kits until you have been through this interview process, as we are unable to guarantee you a place on your chosen course until this process has taken place.

Twice a year the Awarding Organisation’s External Verifier visits our Department to validate your qualification.  The External Verifier picks at random names of people whose work they wish to view.  If picked – it is compulsory to attend on the published date.

Essential to your course is the correct salon wear and shoes for Health & Safety, for their quality garments and shoes your uniform is ordered directly through Salons Direct. Please pick up an order form at enrolment or request one by phoning the Advice and Guidance Team on 01329 815 200. Fareham College uniform and shoes are a compulsory requirement to all courses.

Kits for all courses are required and must be ordered before commencement of the course, once you have a confirmed place. Order forms are available from College. Books are essential and can be ordered on line through Amazon etc. Please pick up an order form at enrolment or request one by phoning the Advice and Guidance Team on 01329 815 200.

Please refer to attached document for full details about workbooks, uniform, kits and additional items for part time hairdressing courses.
