With 1,800 full-time and 2,200 part-time learners, Fareham College is the pre-eminent provider of further education and professional training in the Fareham and Gosport Area. We provide a wide range of vocational, academic, and occupational courses to 16 - 19 year-old students and to adult learners. All staff at the College make a vital contribution to ensuring we provide a high quality experience for all our learners. Full Time

We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Manager to head up the Department and drive the way the Fareham College brand develops in relations to Schools Liaison.

The focus for this role will be to develop the relationship we have with schools so that it is mutually beneficial. Develop our external communications and public relations by representing the College at events, giving presentations where necessary. Co-ordinating events such as Open Evenings. Research and prepare communications campaigns for delivery to schools and employers. The role will have 4 reporting staff.

The successful applicant is likely to have a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification. Excellent writing and presentation skills. Experience in the management and use of information systems for research purposes. The ability to lead and inspire.

Communications Designer (Web)

We have an exciting new role for a Communications Designer (Web) to work within our Communications Department. This role will work with the Communications Manager to develop the website and online materials, keeping up to date with changes in technology to order to enhance these further. They will produce photographs and moving images for use in College publications and on the website.

The successful applicant is likely to have a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification, knowledge of HTML, PHP, CSS and Javascript. Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform development. IT Design skills using Adobe Creative Suite. Good customer service skills.

We have an exciting new role for a Schools Liaison Officer to work within our Communications Department. This role will work with Communications Manager to develop School Liaison activities to enhance support relationships with staff and students in feeder schools. You will also be required to write creative and highly accurate copy for print and online media including press releases.

The successful applicant is likely to have a relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification and excellent writing skills, with the ability to articulate messages clearly and concisely in an engaging style. It is desirable the successful applicant will have experience of journalism and/or working with the press and public relations experience.
