The Media and Film Department at Fareham College offers students an abundance of digital media resources that help make it an exciting environment in which to study.

The department is extremely well equipped for Audio/Visual production. Specialising in moving image production, the media department has striven to gain some of the best recording equipment around. Current equipment includes a range of top-spec Digital Video and High-Definition cameras for outstanding quality images and sound, resulting in students’ work being of a very high standard.

The media suite also includes 14 dedicated PCs with Adobe Premier Pro for students to edit their production work. The digital edit suite is always a very popular room with a constant flow of projects in post-production.

Additional resources include:

• A dedicated screening room with digital big screen projection and digital surround sound.
• Hundreds of VHS and DVD films ranging from mainstream Hollywood to alternative art house.
• Dedicated desktop publishing suite equipped with Adobe PageMaker and Adobe PhotoShop.
• Every classroom fitted with a TV, DVD and VCR.
• Printer facility for students.
