Learning Support

What if my son or daughter needs additional learning support?

Is there any help available for students who experience difficulty coping with coursework? Yes. There are various ways in which we can help.

Any student entering Fareham College with a history of learning difficulty should give details at interview to enable us to arrange appropriate support for September.

Support is available either in class, via assistive technology or on a drop in basis in the Skills Centre.

Examination access arrangements are also updated for students where necessary. Students may also self refer or be asked to discuss concerns at any time during their studies at Fareham College.

Many students in receipt of learning support for dyslexia, dyspraxia etc. have progressed successfully to university.

Ofsted regards the learning support service at Fareham College as 'of a high standard' and 'helps learners to stay on course and be successful'.
