A-level and Level 3 Results Day
A collection of quotes from our A-level/Level 3 students on Results Day last week.
Heather Unwin
"I’m really pleased. I was predicted a Distinction, Distinction, Merit so to get a Triple Distinction is a huge relief."
"I was in the military before College and wanted a change. It was a bit of a challenge to study with younger students, but I got there in the end."

Andrew Helps
"I wouldn’t be where I am without the expertise and support of the lecturers; they have even offered support for my future, now my course is over. I have made strong friendships here and I’m sad to leave."
"IBM is an amazing opportunity for me, I feel like a kid in a candy shop! I am looking forward to travelling with work for the first part of my training."
Andrew has recently set up the bus award system after personal circumstances left him feeling vulnerable on the bus. His bus driver recognised him, took him to his bus stop then waited for Andrew’s parents to arrive. Andrew believes that bus drivers do not get the recognition they deserve and has set up the award system so Bus Drivers who go out of their way to help their passengers are acknowledged. This is all voluntary work and the website is http://www.soton.services.officelive.com.
Andrew achieved a Triple Distinction for his BTEC Level 3 National Diploma IT Practitioners course and secured an apprenticeship at IBM in Portsmouth.
