Welcome to Fareham College

Welcome to the Fareham College and Sixth Form Centre website which contains details of the largest choice of courses available anywhere in Fareham, Gosport and surrounding areas. I hope that you find that it will provide you with everything you need to help you make the right choice for your future career.

With over 100 courses from Foundation Level to Higher Education; full and part-time; college-based and work-based; we offer great choice and high quality. Our most recent results (2011-12) placed us in the top 20% of colleges in the country for success rates, with our 16-19 year old students doing particularly well.

In the current academic year, we have around 2,100 full-time students and 1,000 part-time students enjoying fantastic facilities in a professional yet relaxed and sociable atmosphere. The number of students applying to study at Fareham College continues to grow every year. To meet this demand we continue to invest heavily in developing our students’ facilities, which now include state of the art resources at our Bishopsfield Road Campus, Gosport College Skills Centres and our recently developed Centre of Excellence with outstanding Olympic standard and hi-tech teaching facilities at Hamble.

If you're a student, we'll show you why Fareham College and the Sixth Form Centre Fareham is a great place to study. Read our student profiles to see what our students think of studying at Fareham and visit any of our well equipped College sites to have a chat with our Student Advisers and see for yourself what it would be like to study with us.

We'll help you find a programme that's right for you, from the wide range of courses on offer. Whether you prefer creative or academic, practical or theory, or a combination of them all, we have a course for you.

At Fareham College we have an outstanding reputation for helping students to make a successful transition from school to college and then from college to university or employment. As a successful college we pride ourselves on the excellent opportunities that good quality education and training can offer students that study with us. Many students choose to progress to university, and others the world of work, and our Employment Services team support our learners to secure part-time work whilst studying and full time employment and apprenticeships once they complete their course. If you come to Fareham you will join a community of learners who celebrate each other's differences and have respect for the unique contribution made to our society of people from all fields of endeavour.

Recently we opened Skills Centres dedicated to supporting young people in Gosport. The Gosport College Skills Centres offer a range of practical workshop based programmes in and around Gosport. For further information about this provision, please visit the Gosport College website.
