Engineering

We are able to offer a wide range of courses that range from skill of hand, fitting and turning to the academic courses such as Diplomas and Higher National Certificates. These courses are ideal for students seeking apprenticeships and/or progression to university to further their engineering career.

The department offers fully fitted workshops with learning plans that can accommodate fast progression through the programmes offered. An exciting new acquisition has been an integrated Computer Aided Machining, Computer Aided Drafting suite including simulators and a wide range of supporting machine tools.

The academic courses are supported by a professional team with a range of industrial and maritime experience. The courses have access to a comprehensive electrical laboratory, fully functioning mechanical workshop as well as an aerospace workshop with supporting classrooms. Courses are also offered the opportunity to go sailing, carry out visits that will further enhance the learning experience at the college and widen the range of skills offered.
