This course is designed to encourage home bakers to perfect their cooking skills covering a range of cakes and pastries. You will develop new skills and be given step-by-step instructions, demonstrations and written recipes and methods in order to re-create them at home.

Macaron Masterclass

This course will teach you how to make the perfect macarons every time, crunchy on the outside and soft inside, with delicious fillings and decorated to perfection. You will leave the course with a box full of macarons – if you can resist from eating them first!

Canapé Masterclass

This three hour course will teach you how to make tasty canapés every time, with delicious fillings which are perfect for informal drinks parties or even corporate events.

Choose your own fabric, learn how to use a sewing machine and cut material to pattern. You will be guided by an experienced tutor, with industry experience and a professional approach. Working through a number of techniques to provide take-home knowledge to continue your own future projects.

3D Printing

3D Printing is creating massive waves in all sectors from fashion to medical. People from all walks of life are queuing up to try this growing trend, but due to the costs involved it’s not yet accessible for home use.

This course is designed for an IT literate audience with a desire for innovative technology. No prior 3D skillset would be required (although beneficial). You will focus on several software interfaces while learning about 3D optimisation and the power of 3D printing.

Students will have the opportunity to design and print a range of items while gaining an insight to industry standard techniques. Materials for the 3D printer would be charged additionally to the course and be dependent on the type of models you create.

Funding Information

Applying for a course that has a concession?

Then the course could be free! Some courses are eligible for funding if you are an unemployed individual, on a state benefit* and you want to enter employment and need the skills from one of our funded courses to achieve this.

* (Income Support (universal credit), Job Seekers, ESA contribution Based, ESA work related activity group. Includes SFA funded courses only. You must be aged 19-23 on 31 August 2014. You must produce evidence of the benefit in your name when you enrol. Concessions do not apply to higher education courses.

How do I find out what the fee for my course is?

The fee for your chosen course is listed in the individual course sections accessed on this page. It includes the cost of tuition plus the cost of any exam and registration fee charged by the exam board (if applicable).

Are there any other costs I may have to pay?

Some courses may require you to pay extra costs for things such as course books, trips, and specialist equipment or clothing. If your course has any additional costs, you will be notified before enrolment. You can also contact the College on call 01329 815 200 to find out more.

I’m an international student – are my course fees different?

If you have not been resident in the UK, EU or EEA for more than three years before the start of your course (excluding any time spent in full-time education), different course fees may apply to you – please call 01329 815 200 to find out more. Fareham College cannot sponsor Tier 4 student visas.

My employer is funding my course – what do I need to do?

You will need to complete an Employer Authorisation form, and return to the Enrolments team, and your employer will be invoiced accordingly.

How do I pay for my course?

You can pay by cash, cheque, credit or debit card. And for courses over £500 we offer a payment by instalment service to help spread the cost of your course. A £250 minimum deposit is required if you choose to pay by instalments. Please contact the College for more information.
