Entry Requirements

A full Level 2 Professional Food and Beverage Service qualification with a merit profile and grades 9-4 in GCSE English and Maths.

Details

You will be actively involved in the day-to-day running of our AA College Rosette Accredited Restaurant, Avenue 141, with significant emphasis on leadership and supervision of staff under the guidance of your lecturers.

Embarking on this course will take your training to a more demanding level; you will be required to design menus, learn the appropriate communication skills, lead a team, supervise customer services, manage stock control and use resources effectively. In addition you will have the opportunity to gain a college certificate in barista skills and mixology.

During your time on the course you will work with the Exclusive Hotels Group and othe prestigious establishments. You will need to demonstrate the highest professional standards in appearance, behaviour and attitude, and ensure that your staff can deliver the same high standards.

You will be assessed via observations, assignments, projects, and professional discussions.

Next Steps

You can progress to study hospitality management at university, or other management qualifications. Career options could include restaurant manager, hotel management, conference and banqueting management, front-of-house, cruise liner restaurant services and more.
