Description:
The Level 3 Diploma in Maritime Defence (Foundation Knowledge) prepares students to travel the world as engineers onboard ships. This could be with the Royal Navy or in the commercial sector (i.e. RFA, cruise ships, container ships, research vessels, oil and gas ships or super yachts).

– Principles of electrical and electronic engineering
– Marine propulsion systems
– Marine Auxiliary Systems and Equipment
– Generation distribution of electrical power systems
– Marine systems electrical maintenance
Upon completion of this qualification, learners will have developed the basic skills and knowledge required to progress into further training, apprentices and cadetships.
