Technical Diploma in Construction & the Built Environment


Two years – Full time

Entry Requirements

Five GCSEs at grade 9-4 including English and Maths, or a full Level 2 qualification in a relevant field. Those with substantial professional experience in the sector will also be considered.


This expert-led course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to progress directly to employment in the construction trade. Alternatively, it can be the starting point to help launch your training into one of the following roles:

  • Architect
  • Building surveyor
  • Engineer
  • Construction planner
  • Construction site manager

You will be given the best level of practical training in our well-equipped workshops and classrooms to make you into a future leader within the construction trade.

  • Building surveying
  • Civil engineering
  • Building technology
  • sustainable construction
  • Workplace/site health and safety

Where available, we will always get you involved in live or community projects to give you real-life work experience.

Next Steps

On successful completion of the course you can progress directly into employment, on to a further Apprenticeship or a leadership and management course to train to become a site supervisor or project manager.
