Welcome to the Creative Industries Showcase 2020
At this time of the year, the creative departments at schools, colleges and universities are typically presenting their students work in an end of year exhibition. These provide an opportunity for the students to ‘show off’ their creations and present their final projects for all to see. Due to the current climate this was not possible; however, it did not stop our determined students from continuing their practice and producing some outstanding work.
With encouragement and support from a dedicated and passionate faculty, these students managed to produce work during lockdown; some continued with their original intentions and others adapted and responded directly to the events that were unfolding around them. With classrooms taking place online and in virtual spaces, creating a Virtual Showcase was a logical step; the work presented here is a testament to the resolve that is indicative of the Creative Industries. We hope that you enjoy the work and can join us in congratulating these students and wish them well in their future career paths.
