SENSEi Networks have been delighted to support Fareham College with their T-Level/Industry Placement scheme. This year we accommodated four student placements providing valuable practical experience across software development, accountancy and marketing, thus enabling skills and knowledge learnt in the classroom to be understood and applied in a real-world environment. We hope that the benefits of this experience will help these individuals assess and progress along their chosen career path.
I had the pleasure of working with Fareham College when I needed a work experience student for my pre-school setting. Claire came out to the setting to meet me and went through all the various courses and skills that the students benefit from whilst completing their placement and chosen qualification. It was amazing to know that not only was I getting the help that I needed in my setting but the student had all this support and extensive knowledge bank when they were not here practically learning but at college doing their studies and gaining their qualifications.
I’ve always known my goal is to work in fashion, so to be able to do my work experience in a bridal suite was perfect for me. Throughout my work experience, I have gained confidence in talking to new people – which is key in the fashion industry. I have also gained skills in Visual Merchandising, Alterations and have also expanded my creative outlook. Overall, I have learned a lot from my time at the Bridal suite, skills that will help me both in the Fashion Industry and general life.
I chose Fareham College because of the amazing facilities and capabilities of bringing out the best in me. The support that your teachers give you is honestly phenomenal, they will sit down with you if you don’t understand work and are someone to talk to on a personal level. I would recommend Fareham College to anyone who is looking to achieve their full potential and achieve the best grades. The College has amazing facilities and is really easily accessible.
I chose to study at Fareham College as I visited on open days and other events, this ensured that I considered every course and allowed me to meet students before starting here. It was also the most accessible college in the area with good transportation links. My favourite aspect of my course is the practical side as it allows me to go out and film areas both inside and outside of the college. This has given me an experience of what it will actually be like to work for a production company and the challenges that they face.
I chose Fareham College because of the positive things I had heard about the Hairdressing department. My favourite part about the course is the practical element, as it allows me to be creative. Fareham College offers a really professional and supportive environment to study in.
I chose Fareham College as it is close to where I live and also because the College has great connections with the Navy. The teachers on my course are very helpful and supportive. They are more than willing to help you both inside and outside of the classroom. CEMAST has given me confidence and support with my progression.
I chose to study at Fareham College after looking into many different options. The heavily practical diploma and the amazing equipment in the music department at Fareham is what convinced me that this was the best place to further my musical studies. The equipment within the music department is astounding and having access to multiple rehearsal rooms and a recording studio really helps to prepare you for what to expect in the music industry.
I would recommend Fareham College to anyone interested in developing their skills for university and Apprenticeships. The course I studied at the College enabled me to progress to university. Not only that, but Fareham College equips students to progress in their qualifications and also supports those who wish to pursue Apprenticeships or go straight into employment by providing relevant work experience opportunities.
When I applied to Fareham College, the communication between the College and myself was exceptional: I received various emails, letters and phone calls to make sure I had all the information I needed, ready to start my next journey. My teachers helped with my UCAS application, ensuring that my personal statement was perfect. Most importantly, my teachers made me believe that I could apply to university and gave me the confidence to believe in myself.
