SWAPS SECTOR-BASED WORK ACADEMY PROGRAMME

Introduction

Working with Job Centre Plus (JCP) across the Solent region, Fareham College has established bespoke Sector-Based Work Academies (SWAPs) to help individuals who are seeking job opportunities by offering them the relevant skills, knowledge and experience to obtain employment.

The short programme, generally over four weeks, is designed to prepare those receiving unemployment benefits to apply for jobs in specific industries.

The Sector-Based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) works with relevant employers and includes a guaranteed interview with an employer linked to current vacancies at the end of the programme.
