Full Time Courses

Our range of specialist courses provide the opportunity to learn media-make up techniques for TV and stage from industry-experienced staff.

You will cover aspects such as period hair and make-up, special effects make-up, prosthetics application, character design, airbrushing and theatrical make-up, wig making and dressing.  These skills are developed in our professional make-up studio where you have access to all of the latest facilities and equipment, reflecting a real and current working environment.

Fareham College has some of the best make-up, beauty, media and performing arts training facilities in the area, and our newly developed spacious salons provide an industry-standard environment in which to train.

  • Beauty and the Beast Ballet Show at the Mayflower Theatre

Events & Competitions

You will be encouraged to compete in the country’s top skills competitions, such as the international World Skills competition and Southampton Solent University’s ‘Front’ Competition – our students have always achieved great results! Competitions provide you with the chance to enhance your CV, test your skills in a range of techniques and demonstrate your talent.

You will also have the opportunity to showcase your techniques on a model at our annual Creative Industries Showcase event, which is widely attended by the local public, important employers, universities and professional training organisations.
