Go Beyond Your Studies with Enrichment

As well as studying on your main course, there are plenty of opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities here at Fareham College. Our Enrichment programme is a fantastic way to meet new people from other areas of the College and try a new activity that you might not have done before. It is important to have other interests to include on your CV or UCAS application as it demonstrates your commitment and enthusiasm outside of your core studies.

All of our Enrichment activities are available at a range of levels so you can learn a brand new skill, or improve on existing talents. Enrichment generally takes place on a Wednesday afternoon and activities available may include the following:

  • Dodgeball

AFC Portchester

Football Academy

Fareham College has recently partnered with AFC Portchester, one of the biggest youth development clubs in Hampshire, to form the AFC Portchester Football Academy.

Sports students who are selected to be part of the academy will have three hours of training a week coached by FA and UEFA coaches, as well as an individualised training programme to develop strength and conditioning.

Matches and training will take place at Portchester Stadium and students will compete against other colleges and academies. Those who excel will be given the opportunity to play for AFC Portchester in prestigious competitions such as the FA Youth Cup.
