Staff, students and guests from industry celebrated the launch of Fareham College’s The Academy Aesthetics at the College’s Bishopsfeld Road campus. The Academy specialises in delivering the Level 4 Advanced Beauty course and offers students a state-of-the art environment in which to train with two dedicated laser rooms, a skin treatment room and classroom.

Faculty Director Creative Industries Sarah Ghassemi said, “We are delighted to launch our fantastic Academy Aesthetics, offering students the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge in our ultramodern facilities and obtain a Level 4 qualification. This unique, purpose-built facility houses brand new industry standard equipment, including two lasers, which students use to learn the latest techniques in hair removal and skin rejuvenation.”

Beauty and Holistic Therapy Lecturer Hayley-Marie Baldacchino added, “I am absolutely thrilled to be able to offer students the opportunity to progress and deepen their understanding of new techniques using lasers. The Level 4 Advanced Beauty course will help students to enhance their knowledge and skills, while learning new techniques of delivering treatments such as microdermabrasion and laser light treatments for hair removal and skin rejuvenation, and gain valuable work experience in the clinic setting.”

Students who already hold a Level 3 Beauty qualification or equivalent are able to apply for the Level 4 Advanced Beauty Therapy course.
