We take your safety very seriously and we have put measures in place to ensure that the College is COVID-Secure. We will continue to follow current guidance to keep our college community safe.

Face Coverings

You are required to wear face coverings when visiting the College, and in corridors, queues, public areas and communal spaces across all three of our campuses, unless you are exempt. Please continue to wear face coverings on public and dedicated college transport, unless you are exempt.

Lateral Flow Testing

Please can you ensure that you take two lateral flow tests each week before coming into the College and during the Christmas holidays, prior to returning to the College in the New Year. While not mandatory, we strongly urge you to take these tests to help keep our college community safe. You can request lateral flow test kits for free by calling 119 or order online at gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests

Self-Isolation Protocols

Current guidance has changed the self-isolation protocols, therefore close contacts with a positive case, provided they are ‘double-jabbed’ or under 18, no longer need self-isolate, instead they are recommended to take a PCR test. Full details can be read here – When to self-isolate and what to do – Coronavirus (COVID-19) – NHS (www.nhs.uk). However, in additional to current self-isolation protocols, any suspected or confirmed close contacts of the Omicron variant will be asked to isolate for 10 days regardless of vaccination status or age. If this applies, you will be contacted directly by test and trace and told to isolate.

Vaccination Programme
Young adults aged 16-18 years are eligible for the vaccination programme. We strongly encourage you to take part, as vaccines are our best defence against COVID-19. They help protect young people and adults, and benefit those around them. Vaccination makes people less likely to catch the virus and less likely to pass it on. To book a vaccination, please visit: Book or manage a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination – NHS (www.nhs.uk).

Lanyards
It is mandatory to wear your college lanyard at all times so we can ensure that those onsite should be onsite and continue to keep our college community safe.

Please continue to check your college emails and social media channels for any further updates.
