If progressing from our Level 2 programme, embarking on this course will develop and enhance the skills that you have learnt to a higher degree of proficiency.

It will take your training to a more demanding level; you will be required to learn higher level customer service and communication skills, lead a team, supervise the restaurant effectively, manage stock control, create cocktails, recommend, and serve wines to our customers in Avenue 141.

During your time on the course, you will work with visiting industry experts which could lead you to the Exclusive Hotels Academy and other prestigious hospitality management programmes. You will need to demonstrate the highest professional standards in appearance, behaviour and attitude and ensure that your team can deliver the same high standards.

Whilst working, leading, and supervising in our award-winning Restaurant, Avenue 141, you will achieve your qualification though the completion
of modules such as:

  • Supervising food and beverage service and customer service
  • Food safety supervision
  • Promoting food and beverage services and products
  • Legislation
  • Gueridon/flambe work
  • Recommendation, preparation, and service of wines
  • Preparation and service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Supervision of hospitality events
  • Preparation and service of cocktails.

You will be supported by our highly qualified lecturers and Avenue 141 restaurant manager whilst working alongside leading industry experts and undertaking an industry placement and hosting your own event. You will be assessed via observations, assignments, short answer questions, projects, and professional discussions.

School Leavers under the age of 19 do not have to pay fees on any full time courses, though may have to pay for their second year if turning 19 during their studies.

If you’re aged 19 or over you might qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan. It’s easy to apply for and you won’t have to pay anything back until you’re earning over £25,000. Find more information on Advanced Learner Loans on our website.

If you are studying a part-time course and you receive one of the following benefits, or you depend financially on someone who does, you may be entitled to have your tuition fees waived:

  • Universal Credit
  • Income Support

You will, however, have to pay any awarding body/assessment fees (unless you are on a first full level 2 course).

* If you are in receipt of Working Tax Credit or receive other allowances, you may be eligible to claim concessionary rates. If you are entitled to a fee concession you will be asked to provide proof of your entitlement.
