We have state-of-the-art training and production kitchens, equipped to the highest professional standard, and our award-winning silver service restaurant Avenue 141, is run by students and open to the public.

Full Time Courses

We provide a wide range of vocational courses from Level 2 to 3 covering all aspects of the hospitality industry, with a curriculum and environment to maximise your true potential.

Every student will gain hands-on experience in an active, commercial environment supported by well-equipped state-of-the-art kitchens and industry-leading tuition.

Our courses provide great work experience opportunities with leading catering and hospitality businesses. The restaurant sector is booming, which means there is a big demand for trained catering and hospitality staff – making it a great time to join this growing industry.

Past students have gone on to successful careers at top UK hotels and restaurants as chefs and restaurateurs, and even opened up their own businesses. With a Fareham College qualification under your belt, you will be qualified to enrol on further management training programmes or progress to professional cookery and hospitality apprenticeships to develop your skills even further.

Trips & Visits

Students go on trips to experience all elements of the wider industry, including local food fairs and the National Food Festival. They also do ‘takeovers’ and run services at real restaurants and organisations.

Visits to College also take place from industry experts, manufacturers and organisations, including the ‘Exclusive Chefs Academy’, a career development programme created by the Exclusive Hotels and Venues Group.

An apprenticeship in Hospitality or Catering provides you with the best possible training to equip you with skills that are in high demand. You will have a full time job and earn a wage working in a restaurant, café, hotel or catering company, while also attending College, usually for a day a week, in order to gain a nationally-recognised qualifications and essential competencies.

An apprenticeship in this area supports you in becoming highly-talented in your chosen field of hospitality, developing fantastic customer-orientated skills, product knowledge and practical competency.

Your Campus: Bishopsfield Road

Re-developed in September 2015, Fareham’s BRC campus provides an outstanding learning environment for the 2,000 learners based at the main site. With £16 million of investment, Fareham’s students have access to transforming facilities and the latest technologies and curriculum-based equipment to support some of the best technical and professional teaching in Hampshire.
