Description:
This exciting and experimental course will appeal to students with a strong interest in fashion, textiles or design. It is particularly suitable for those who would like to progress on to university or a career in fashion.
You will receive expert tuition in all aspects of fashion, textiles and design, including pattern and garment construction, sewing techniques, textile techniques and the opportunity for live projects. You will also be given an introduction into fashion, film, photography, styling, trend forecasting, blogging and visual merchandising. All of these aspects are taught through a range of stimulating projects. In year two, you will have the opportunity to tailor-make projects to suit your skills, with many students choosing to design and create fashion and/or textile collections.
Your lessons will take place in our fashion studio, as well as our digital suite and specialist art and photography studios.
There are study visits to events and exhibitions both locally and in London. The course culminates in an exhibition where you will be able to showcase your work to the public.
