There are many different careers within the construction industry, from on-the-ground building services, right through to architecture, surveying and engineering. Construction is booming, both regionally and nationally, and there is great demand for skilled workers in all fields, including bricklayers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers and site managers.
Whatever trade you are interested in, our industry standard-workshops provide the perfect backdrop for you to build your career. You will learn from highly experienced tutors using the latest equipment to develop the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to work within this fast-paced sector.
Full Time Courses
Courses are made up of a combination of practical workshops and classroom sessions to reinforce the techniques you will develop, and ensure you are fully trained in safe working practices. Our links with employers are extensive, and you can move from a full time college-based course to complete an apprenticeship in a range of construction trades.

If you do a Level 3 qualification, you can progress on to higher level training to become a site supervisor, project manager, quantity surveyor, estimator – or you may even find yourself working in education!

You can specialise in areas including brickwork and carpentry and, as well as learning the skills and techniques of the trade, you will also receive training in health, safety and site operation which can support future progression into planning, project coordination or management roles.
