Introduction

If you are committed to supporting others, training in Uniformed Public Services will prepare you for a variety of careers within services such as the Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, Fire Brigade, Paramedics, Customs & Excise, HM Prison Service or Security. 

Training in this area introduces you to the inspiring and challenging world of the public services, enabling you to take a confident, well-rounded and professional approach to a highly rewarding career in your chosen field.

Our courses offer an exciting and varied programme of practical and theoretical learning, as well as diverse physical activities, to help hone your skills and increase your confidence. You’ll also be given the tools, training and knowledge to build your fitness and agility. Our lecturers come with a wealth of experience from serving in the British Army, volunteering with disaster response and leading on adventurous expeditions.

Full Time Courses

These courses are designed to prepare you for a successful and fulfilling career in public service, and training focuses heavily on the core values that underpin these careers such as teamwork, respect and social responsibility.

Key skills of leadership, assertiveness, physical fitness and self-awareness are essential and heavily emphasised throughout all training, ensuring you are fully prepared to take a competitive edge in kick-starting your career in the services.

You will receive dedicated training and gain a respected qualification that will prepare you for entry into your chosen service or further study at university.

Career Options

After completing your course, you will be in an excellent position to apply for your chosen service, progress to university, or go into a wide range of related careers that draw on the skills, attributes and competencies you will have developed. Our students have gone on to gain employment as Physical Training Instructors, Weapons System Operators, Logistics Officers and Pilots with the Royal Navy and RAF.
